Sean Hannity’s relationship with Hal Turner - Neo Nazi/White Supremacist

I originally received this story from News Hounds who’s tag line is “We watch FOX so you don’t have to.” I’ve also found the story at Daily Kos as well. I’ll attempt to summarize what these sites say about Sean Hannity, Hal Turner, and their relationship, but make sure to read some of the corresponding links to judge for yourself.
Now there are some comments in this post that may offend some readers. Also know that when we begin to tread in these waters, the language and references become quite graphic but we have to go here. Let’s go.

Earlier in the week, Sean Hannity denied, albeit in contradictory terms, ever having a relationship with neo Nazi/white supremacist Hal Turner. As I posted the night Hannity was confronted about Turner, the evidence conflicts with Hanniy’s claims. Now Turner has confirmed their friendship and their sympatico views in a blog post called, “About Sean Hannity and Me. . . . . Yes, we were friends and yes, Sean agreed with some of my views.” H/T Davefromqueens.
They then refer to a post from the Hal Turner Show website titled - “About Sean Hannity and me.” I’ll start with a comment at telling comment from the end of the post and then hit some other highlights.
- In my opinion, based on my first hand experience, I believe Sean Hannity is, in fact, a Hal Turner sort of guy. It seems to me that a big difference between Sean and me is that I am willing to say publicly what I think about savage Black criminals, diseased, uneducated illegal aliens and the grotesque cultural destruction wrought by satanic jews while Sean and many others keep quiet to protect their paychecks.
- On Wednesday, March 19, Malik Zulu Shabazz of the New Black Panther Party appeared as a guest on “Hannity & Colmes” to discuss the Obama / Reverend Wright controversy. During that appearance, Sean Hannity asked Shabazz if Barak Obama shouldn’t be judged by his past affiliations with Reverend Wright, to which Shabazz replied by asking Sean Hannity “Should you be judged by your past association with Hal Turner, a neo-Nazi?”I was quite disappointed when Sean Hannity at first tried to say he didn’t know me and then went on to say that I ran some senate campaign in New Jersey. In fact, Sean Hannity does know me and we were quite friendly a number of years ago.
- Another big difference is that I am perfectly willing to use force and violence against my enemies while Sean Hannity and others are not. Those using me as a prop to attack Sean Hannity would do well to remember this fact. Rest assured I will remember them when the opportunity presents itself; especially as it pertains to that douche bag sodomite Max Blumenthal for the falsehoods and total trash he wrote about me in “The Nation” magazine.
- I can tell you from my firsthand, personal experience that Sean Hannity does, in fact, agree with many of my political and social views. I can also tell you that Sean Hannity disagrees with some of my political and social views. I won’t go subject-by-subject to say which he agrees with and which he disagrees with. You can figure that out easy enough on your own!
Fox News has tried to clean up what’s coming from Turner by disputing dates that he uses in his post. Turner has posted an update which reads “
Some questions have been raised as to the years mentioned in my recollection above. With this situation at least ten years old, the accuracy of my memory concerning the calendar years may be off, but the facts about communications between me and Sean Hannity reflected in the recollection above are completely truthful.
Another interesting quote from Turner was “Suffice it to say that my recollection is that when Sean and I spoke by phone, while no one else was listening, he and I exchanged the kinds of views that most White, Irish-Catholic guys hold, but won’t speak in public.”
Is Hannity really a Hal Turner kind of guy? I don’t know. Would I be surprised to find out that he is? Not at all.
Over my years of consuming “conservative” talk radio, I’ve always been able to stomach Limbaugh and O’Reilly, but Hannity has always played even dirtier than those cats. This intentional smear of Dr. Wright, picked up in every area of the media, has let us know what Hal Turner only confirms. I’m not a guy urging my readers to shut down Fox News, but it is time to start thinking about going after advertisers of Sean Hannity’s television show.
I believe closed minded nationalists have the right to air the own race baiting, fear mongering goofy talk (that’s shamefully passed off as news). The Fox Noose crowd would believe any and everything given to them if it were wrapped in an American flag. But it’s up to us -and efforts like News Hounds- to make sure Americans with a brain or even an ounce of dignity don’t fall prey to their propaganda

Thank you Shawn for this post. I read this over the weekend on Huffington Post. FOX news is a disgrace but Hannity is the worst. I propose a protest at FOX news studio on a mass level with people of all colors particularly young adults, regardless of who you are voting for, to show that we are the future of America and we want the race baiting stopped. There are too many important issues to be debated. It is the youth in ths country whose lives are being lost after these old bigots stir up hell here and abroad! I don’t agree with every protest internationally right now, but I do admire the backbone to stand up in your respective country and say enough is enough!

One action you might consider taking is asking Rev. Al Sharpton to reconsider including Hannity in an upcoming commemoration of Dr. Martin Luther King.

I’m less than convinced. As near as I can tell, the only link is that Turner called in to Hannity’s show lot, and that Turner (who appears to have delusions of superiority and grandeur) claims to have a close relationship to Hannity. Hinkley claimed to have a close relationship to Jodie Foster, too. I haven’t seen anything from Hannity that alludes to any sort of off-air relationship.

Aren’t liberals supposed to be all about free speach?? Yet as soon as a conservative says something you don’t like, you want to go after his advertizers to get his show cancelled! Grow up and if you don’t like Mr. Hannity then you don’t have to watch him or listen to him. I never pay attention to morons like Keith Olberman but I don’t advicate having him fired either!

I agree that there needs to be a massive boycott of any of Fox News sponsors. They tout themselves as being “fair and balanced” There is nothing fair and balanced about their hate speech. Shawn Hannity is no real journalist by any stretch of the imagination. Why is Colmes even on the show? He so soft spoken that Shawn is able to spit out his venomist poison without an aggressive challenge. Their attacks on Barack and Michele is down right personal and demeaning regardless of any issues. We will no longer stand by and watch this political lynching disguised under the banner of news. What political office has Shawn ever held? At least Barack has the guts to make a run for the office of president. Barack has stated many times that he is not perfect. We need to ask fox news is the language coming out of Shawn mouth sponsored by them and do they hold his views as a network and let the boycott begin. O’Reiley is the same. Has anyone forgotten the sexual harrassment suit with O’Reiley and one of his co-anchors. Did he just pay that one off? Since he feels he is a cut above others morally. Just my thoughts. In response to Liz. A major network should let you know that the views expressed on their networks are not that of the network. Fox or MSNBC does not do that. Shawn Hannity is a political hinchmen for the Conservative party. I really believe he is jeolous of Barack and has forgotten that Barack is an American and no real American will tear down another American by allowing his views to become personal. Shawn does not just attact Barack on political issues he attacks Barack patriotism and character and the man’s family. We as Africian American have stood back and allowed racial profiling and undercover racism for so long that other don’t even realize that we are aware of when it is taking place. They talked about the dress Michele Obama wore on the view as being some kind of fake outfit to pretend to wholesome. The fist pond that Barack gave his wife is a celebrative gesture in the African American culture not some terrorist sign as touted by the conservative news party.

I am so sick of Hannity and Combs and also the whole network of FOX News. They should not be on the air at all. Hannity never talks about John McCain and the Keating 5 or that John McCain went and got a marriage license to marry Cindy McCain while being married to his disabled wife who waited on him to get back from the POW camp, or Cindy McCain stealing from her charity for her drug habit..
By the way, when he was sanctioned by the US Congress they stated “he did not use good judgement in his dealings with Mr. Keating…..
There is nothing fair and balanced about this network at all.

Hannity made such a big deal about Obama not wearing one… but when McCain(did you know he was a POW for 5 years) didn’t wear one nothing was said..

Sean Hannity as far as I’m concerned is nothing more than white trash that has made it in the ‘ mainstream’. Hannity, Fox news channel , Republicans and the Christian right are nothing more than those that believe America is a white man’s country. It’s not acceptable to say this but it’s true. He also validates everything that Jeremiah Wright had been saying all along. You can see it in their policies, talking points and now also associations.
I’m not shocked by Hannity’s friendship with Hal Turner. His disdain for African Americans is well known. Like Ann Coulter , Rush Limbaugh and Michael Savage , it’s well documented and on Youtube. Hate that is mainstream. He’s just a klansman in a three piece suit. I just wish these right wing fascists were more open and honest about their racism. Maybe then independent voters can make up their minds.

Also for all the liberal bloggers out there, watch the racist hypocritical apologists for Sean Hannity try to justify his association or water it down. Stuff they accused Obama of doing. One good thing about Hal Turner is that he knows who his friends are and is not afraid to speak on it. He’s not a gutless coward like Hannity.

I guess you could call me that,. though I do not excuse Sean Hannity for lying about his denial, if it is true about his association with this Hal Turner fellow. First of all, I am no Nazi ,at least by my own definition (you would disagree I am sure), but I am half German. My Grandparents are German, and my grandmother was a German sympathizer and many members of my family fought in WW2 on the Nazi side. Do I condone their views or what they did, certainly not. They were on the side of the enemy and stood against human rights and our definition of freedom; however, I do understand why they held their views. In that sense I can even understand Rev. Wright’s views, he is speaking from his own experience. Yet his own experience does not condone the volatile statements he made about the USA or Obama’s associations with terrorists and corrupt friends. Sean Hannity did not say G-D America nor have I heard him on his radio show denying the holocaust or calling for the death of Jews, Blacks, or illegal immigrants. So if Sean holds his racist pro-nazi views in private without spouting them on the radio,(where they would certainly do damage) well than that is just a poor reflection on his character. As he said, he isn’t the one running for president. So unless he says death to the Jews on the radio, I will continue to listen, so call me a racist hypocritical apologist Nazi. I still think Sean Hannity’s broadcast message promotes conservatism and he has helped to expose Barrack Obama for who he is, just like every other mendacious politician. Ohh by the way, the black panthers and radical Muslims are racists too, don’t limit the spurious name to just neo-nazis. Peace.

It’s one thing to offer your opinion about a canidate and yet another to attack his motives. Sean Hannity does not have to agree with Obama on issue but Sean goes beyond that. He spits out his venom in the form of malicious hate. Sean Hannity is a hired political assasin for the republician party. Keith Oberman is the only mainstream anchor who will match Sean blow by blow. I would like to see them debate. Sean will ask his guest closed ended question first with loaded comments and then press them for a yes or nor response while talking over them as they are answering. People are not stupid they know when someone is geniunly asking a question searching for truth or attempting to lead them to agree with them. Any time you rely on Karl Rove as an expert commentator you are in big trouble. I dare anyone to name a politician that does not have questionable associations. How many undercover KKK does Sean hang out with?

I have listened to both Sean Hannity and Laura Inghram. I am a Christian and the type of Christianity they have amazes me. So I kept listening. I kept listening and it just doesn’t add up. Bearing false witness. I have listened to him and Laura Inghram. Its do whatever you have to do to get Mccain elected now. I have been listening to him and he seems to be possessed with foolishness. Will he incite people to go after Obama with guns raised and a rope to hang him high from gallows. Jan Jaeger is trying to split hairs and semantics when it comes to race in this country. It’s clear that he wants to excuse nazism and the holocaust and somehow lessens that tragedy when compared to Jeremiah Wright’s statements. I notice how he has conveniently left out Sarah Palin’s association with the anti american Alaskan independence group, the confederate flag organizations that still want the south to leave the union. He also forgets Reverend Pat Robertson blaming 9/11 on Gays , liberals and feminists.

My best friend is black, I have a lot of black friends, but I am not voting for Obama simply because I do not want to live in a socialist economy that will flounder while having a president who has actually said that he would ammend the constitution, taking away my LEGAL rights as not only an american citizen but also my right as a human being to protect myself by being able to own a gun! !!! Furthur more, If Obama will not even support our own troops in Iraq, seen by his MANY votes in congress, then I should expect even less of his ability to protect the american people on our own soil! The fact that Obama is black has no recolection in my memory of why I am making the Firm, Intelligent, and SENSIBLE AND SAFE decision as not to vote for him. It wouldn’t surprise me if Hannity is a Neo-Nazi. I don’t care if he is proud to be white, just like I am. I think that’s all good - but if you take it far like White-Supremacy like Hal Turner, I think that’s a terrible thought. Not just whites, but every race.
I can’t believe anyone would deny this claim, Hal Turner has his own Internet radio show, so this came out right from his mouth. And I have yet to see or hear Hannity reply to his remarks about knowing each other. And Hannity was caught in a lie when Shabazz questioned his association with Hal Turner - at first he said “I don’t know who Hal Turner is…”, to then “He was banned from this show a long time ago”. Hannity likes to nit-pick on Black-Supremacy, when minor things are said, he takes them out of context and tries to link it to Obama. Now, I’m no Obama supporter - but Hannity went as far as getting Andy Martin (A somewhat racist person who made anti-Semitic remarks.) to host a special on Obama’s Childhood.
Hannity is a Phony. And some dumb FOX News viewers that commented on here need to go back to school; they can’t spell of shit! Which doesn’t surprise me, since FOX viewers rank 3rd to last on any knowledge on politics - shows you how “smart” they really are…

i cannot make accusations of shaun being anything like the previous.what i can say is he and rush say they have the 2 highest rated radio programs going,and they have wonderful avid listeners.one would think with all that clout,their candidate would not have been beaten so severely.

What can I do as a citizen to get Hannity off the radio?. i live in Texas and all I get is Hannity, Rush, or a couple other conservatives. Hannity now starts his program with recordings of Rev Wright and talks about Bill Ayers and he spews his hatred of Obama. He has got to go. He could influence some nut case out there to try to hurt Obama or his family. HE HAS GOT TO GO!!!!

I can’t understand why all of you listen to Hannity if you hate him so much………just turn him off!!!!! Seems to me that he has been saying something that makes each of you want to listen to him and that is his goal. You know, we do STILL (but maybe not for long) have freedom of speech.

Liz, aren’t ALL Americans supposed to be about free speech? And it is our right to call for anyone to be taken off the air waves. Conservatives have done the same to tv programming, and have been a lot more outspoken than liberals. And why is it alright for conservatives to do it? Because the shows and people they are against are immoral and have no values. But Hannity, who has said racist and biased statements multiple times during his program, is just fine and if liberals have a problem with him, they should just turn the channel. Huh, no hypocrisy there.
