Old School Friday: Songs that people would be surprised I know

I have to say it’s been the last few years that I’ve discovered Steely Dan and have to give credit to Mike Rhyner who has “extolled the greatness” of the group for years. Finally I took him up on the challenge of checking out their music and I’m all in.
Here are are my two entries:
Steely Dan’s “Home At Last”
“Black Cow”
Most hip hoppers know “Black Cow” as a sample from Lord Tariq and Peter Gunz “Deja Vu (Uptown Baby).
Happy Old School Friday!!! Check out these other OSF participants.

Happy OSF! I have to admit that I’ve never much listened to Steely Dan … however, I did enjoy both of his selections you shared with us.
I invite your blog readers to enjoy music by <a href=”http://electronicvillage.blogspot.com/2009/08/old-school-friday-gino-vanelli.html”. He is the artist that you would be surprised that I listen to…

Not really a fan of Steely Dan but I LOVED “Deja Vu”! That was my jam!

I have to admit I am surprised, and these songs are from two different aspects of the musical spectrum. FYI I like your last choice the best, but only because it takes me to college.
I like Steely Dan, and yes this is something new for me, but it still feels so familiar.
